VARSHA BHATIA RI

Trained and worked as an architect, I use my architectural background to draw ideas for my artwork focusing on architectural monuments, studying their details, styles and atmosphere. Having lived in India and the UK, my work encompasses Indian as well as Western architecture. The usual medium of my paintings is watercolour. I usually paint historical buildings, both exteriors and interiors, aiming to incorporate as much detail as possible in my paintings.

I have exhibited in major art exhibitions in London including RI, RWS C21, RBA , SWA, The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition and several other exhibitions in private galleries. I have won four awards for my watercolour paintings.

I have been elected a member of The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI) in 2018.
