SERGEY TEMEREV

I was born in Kiselevsk, at the Vestern Siberia. The most of my childhood I spent in Mariupol on the Coast of Azov Sea. Since 1978, I studied at the Secondary Art School named after Boris Ioganson under the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, and then I graduated the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin under the Academy of Arts of the USSR.

In 1989, I started working in the architectural bureau in Vyborg. Since 2003, I divide my time between Vyborg and St. Petersburg, where I teach in the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design. I am Associate Professor at the Artistic Metal Department (on specialization is Architectural Metal). In addition, I teach at the Interior Design Department.

My first personal exhibition took place in 1993 at the Alvar Aalto Library, Vyborg, Russia. Since then I have held number of solo exhibitions in Russia and other countries. The most important were the exhibitions in the Museum of Applied Art at the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy in 2008 and 2013. The most recent my solo exhibition was held in Mondovi, North Italy this year.

Since 1983, I took part more than in 70 exhibitions, as Russian, as well as International exhibitions. The most memorable for me was participation experience of the range of exhibitions in UK in the 2000-ies, Watercolor Biennials in St-Petersburg in 2012-2017, festivals in Fabriano of 2015-2018, and of course, International Exhibitions “Masters of Watercolor” in St-Petersburg of 2015-2018.
I am a member of Russian Union of Artists, St. Petersburg Watercolor Society, German Watercolor Society, and International Watercolor Society.

I am member of the Organizing Committee and Jury of the Exhibition Project "Masters of Watercolor", and Community Leader of Russian participants of FabrianoInAcquarello Convention.
