
Stephanie Goldman is a full-time American painter known for
her richly colored figures, insightful portraits, boldly painted miniatures and
dynamic watercolors, charcoal, pencil and ink drawings. She imbues her work
with focused creativity and experimentation that is loved by collectors and
critics alike. Some of her exhibitions include fifteen unique portraits of
children entitled “I Am A Child at The Riverside Art Museum, “Bearing Exquisite
Witness”- at the Joan Croc Institute for Peace and Justice USD, a special
portrait unveiling of Director Erika Torrey commissioned by the Board of
Trustees for the Athenaeum in La Jolla and many group exhibitions including SD
Museum of Art, Gotthelf Gallery-La Jolla, SD Art Institute, SD Natural History
Museum, Hyde Art Gallery - Grossmont College, Boehm Gallery-Palomar College and
the Springfield Museum in Illinois as well as invitational exhibitions
nationally and internationally.
A selection of her work has been reproduced by Frontline
Publishing, Ramprod and Eastmeetswestco. She has co-authored a new book on
drawing titled The Complete Book of Poses for Artists, published by Walter
Foster. Collaborated on large and small Public and Private Art Projects for
hospitals and healing centers. She teaches figure drawing and painting classes
at the Athenaeum School of Art. Currently serves on the Board of Directors of
National Watercolor Society as Director of Special Projects - Video Production
and previously served three years as Recording Secretary.
